Lucrative List Building: The Squeeze Page

Most internet marketing professionals agree that if you dont have a list, then you dont really have a business. Building a lucrative list is essential to your success. A customer list is the greatest asset of any business. In internet marketing, your customer list is your personal gold mine.

After you solve the problem of generating traffic to your website, it then becomes necessary to capture the name and email address of your visitor so you can build your own customer list. If you fail to do this, your business will fail.

Its amazing to me how many people spend a ton of effort and money on getting visitors to their site where they pitch a product in hopes of getting a sale and then fail to capture their visitors name and email address.

You must focus your attention on building your list instead of on trying to make your initial sale. Remember, only 1 in a 100 people is going to buy your product after arriving at your website. You must capture the other 99 peoples name and email address so that you can show your product(s) to them again in the future.

There are a few techniques you can use to capture your visitors information and build a lucrative list. Here are the three biggies which are the most effective:

1. The Squeeze Page
2. The Pop-Up, and
3. A Simple Opt-in Form

The best method to use of the three ways to build a list is the squeeze page. A regular opt-in form might get a 10% to 20% opt-in rate, while a squeeze page is more likely to produce a 20% to 40% opt-in rate of the total number of visitors who arrive at your website.

A squeeze page is a web page with only one purpose: to capture the information details of your visitor. The squeeze page is different from using a pop-up or normal opt-in form because you dont allow your visitor access to your website unless they give you their name and email address, and/or other details.

Therefore, a squeeze page must sell the benefits of your website to your visitor. A good squeeze page must have a strong benefit driven headline to grab the readers attention, some bullet points outlining the benefits of your website, and a call to action.

The best squeeze pages are not long. Do not make your visitor scroll down the page to opt-in. Other best practices include placing your photo on the page, make bold every other bullet point, and put a box around your "call to action" which is merely your opt-in form. Tell the visitor exactly what to do in no uncertain terms.

You must provide enough information to entice your visitors to leave their name and email address. Use good copywriting and sales techniques to squeeze your customers into joining your list. To ensure that people opt-in, you usually have to bribe them.

Offer some kind of free gift to bribe your visitor. A short report, a mini-course, a subscription to your newsletter, or an audio or video file is usually enough to get your visitor to join your list. In your call to action, be sure to let your visitors know that they will be given their free gift immediately after clicking the submit button located on your form.

Just a note here: You will not be sending your customers to your web page immediately after they enter their information details. Instead, you will send them to your One Time Offer page which is the subject of one of my other articles in this series of articles on list building.

Newbies are often afraid to use a squeeze page. They think that not enough people will choose to opt-in to their list. Its true that you will need to write convincing copy and you will have to offer a valuable gift to get your visitor to opt-in. But you need not worry about visitors who dont choose to opt-in. If your visitors are not even interested enough to give you their email address, then they probably wont be interested enough to buy from you either.

Overcoming Your Husband's Objections To Telecommuting

If you are an aspiring work from home mom, you may have already heard these common objections from your husband (and perhaps that nagging mother in law):

We shouldn't have to pay for an extra phone line.
We can't afford to upgrade the computer.
The company should pay for the transcription equipment.
You will be wasting your time and not making a "real" income.
Why can't you keep your "real job" / get a "real job"?
So how can you overcome these objections? It's simple.

The secret is in numbers. Men understand figures and costs.

If you are presently working outside of the home, what kind of expenses do you have?

You may have car insurance on a second car you wouldn't need. Add in the cost of routine maintenance, gas, repairs, eating out at lunch time, that coffee you grab on the way to work, professional clothing, dry cleaning, a second cell phone, and if you have children, DAYCARE! Note that these expenses are ongoing.

Now compare that to getting started with a telecommuting company as an independent contractor.

Once you have your home office set up, your only monthly expenses will be the added telephone line (if required), high speed internet (most people like to have that anyway), and the electricity you are using (which is a very minimal amount).

Not everyone has these figures readily available, so I thought I would ask my good friend to share her monthly expenses from when she worked outside of the home as compared to what her current expenses are.

Working Outside of the Home

Gas - $78 (drives an average of 30 miles a day, or 650 miles a month)
Insurance on second vehicle - $107
Car payment on second vehicle - $289
Maintenance allowance $7.00 (towards the cost of routine oil changes)
Daycare (1 kid) - $540
Clothing - $60 (towards a yearly budget)
Cell Phone - $80
Lunches - $130 (She ate out roughly three times a week)
Coffee $76 (She stopped every day at Starbucks for a __mocha)
TOTAL MONTHLY EXPENSES - $1367

INCOME - $2080 at 40 hours per week and $12/hour

PROFIT only $713 for an entire month!

Working from Home

The car was sold, so she eliminated the costs of gas, insurance, repairs, and the hefty car payments. Her son no longer went to daycare. She could go to work in her sweats, eliminating the need for work wear. She discontinued her cell phone service as soon as the contract was up and she eats lunch at home and makes her own coffee. She is saving a bunch of money!

However, there are a few expenses she now has to include:

High-speed internet - $39
Second phone line - $25
Coffee from home - $20
Lunches at home - $60

Now we will calculate her income at a slightly lower hourly rate, as telecommute jobs typically pay around $9/hour. To be realistic, we will also reduce the working hours to 30, as that is more typical of working from home.

TOTAL MONTHLY EXPENSES - $144

INCOME - $1170 at 30 hours per week

PROFIT $1026 for an entire month!

What? More profit? Working less hours? What does that ultimately equate to?

A happier mom, which means a happier house because anyone who can work less and keep more of their paycheck will want to jump for joy!

10 Tips On How To Pack Your Suitcase For Your Trip To Europe

When packing for a trip to Europe you need to consider the weather, as well as the activities you are planning to participate in.

One important thing to keep in mind for all air travel (not only to Europe) is not to over-pack. Most carriers allow only 20 kilo or 45 lb if youre traveling economy. Furthermore you want to travel as light as possible in case you have to drag your luggage around with you.

I travel for business and private reasons at least 30 times a year and here are my most important recommendations:

1. Dont pack last minute. This will give you the chance to buy some things you need before your departure.

2. Start with the things you need for every vacation
Toiletries, underwear, socks, medicine. Always take sunscreen: As a working person you probably spend most of your time indoors and arent used to the sun.

3. Chose your main colors
In order to be able to combine all the pieces, try to stick to three main colors. Black and white are always two of my main colors, because they go wit everything. Add your favorite color like red, pink, green or blue.

4. Chose the basic everyday outfits
For short journeys (up to one week) pack one complete outfit for every day. For longer journeys, take one complete outfit for every day of the first week. Afterwards youll have to repeat clothes or go to a laundry.

Youll probably spend most of your time outdoors and walking around, visiting the different sights. Therefore your basic outfit could consist in jeans and T-shirt. Dont forget to pack a set of underwear and socks for each day.

5. Pack to evening outfits
If you plan to go to a fancy restaurant, the opera or a discotheque, youll need an evening outfit. Dont take more than two or three of them and make them simple yet stunning: black pants/skirts and a glamorous top.

6. Dont forget bad weather gear
Always take at least two sweaters, if the weather gets cold. An umbrella or rain jacket will be suitable as well.

7. What about sports?
Never go anywhere without a bathing suit! Its so tiny and you never know when you can use it. Maybe the weather is really hot and you want to go to the beach (at a lake) or the weather is really bad and you want to enjoy tropical feeling in an indoors swimming pool.

8. Chose three pairs of shoes
Take one or two comfortable shoes or sneakers for the everyday activities and one nice pair for the evening and maybe some really glitzy high heels for the occasional night life event.

9. Take as little jewelry as possible
Carrying your fine jewelry all across the world and taking it in and out the hotel safe might make yourself a target for theft. Dont ruin your vacation! Chose some basic pieces of jewelry and travel with those.

10. Spread out all clothes to consider onto your bed
Once everything is spread out on your bed, start packing your suitcase. Count the number of pieces and ask yourself:

Do I really need 20 T-shirts for a 2 week vacation? Then start putting half of the pieces back into the closet.

3 Types Of Espresso Coffee Machines

There are a number of different espresso coffee machines that you can buy today. These include the manual, semi automatic and the full or super automatic. Below I will be taking a closer look at just what each of these machines are capable of doing.

1. Manual Espresso Coffee Machine

This type of machine requires the person using it to carry out all the various procedures involved in order to brew a great cup of espresso coffee. You will need to add both the water and the coffee grinds as well as controlling the frother if you are making cappuccinos or lattes.

2. Semi Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine

With this particular machine you will need to start the process by turning the machine on and then pressing a button. Then once the espresso has been made, you will then need to turn the machine off. However with this machine you will be required to ensure that they water reservoir is filled and that there is sufficient beans within the grinder (as some models come with an internal coffee grinder).

3. Full or Super Automatic Espresso Coffee Machine

This machine will produce a great espresso coffee without you having to participate in the process at all. These types of machines come with a fully integrated water system (which is attached directly to a water supply) and a coffee grinder for grinding the beans. With this particular machine all you need to do now is push a button and then the machine takes over and at the end will produce a great cup of espresso coffee. During each process, once the beans have been ground and used they will then be ejected and placed in an internal bin which can then be taken out and the contents removed.

When it comes time for you to find the perfect espresso coffee machine, you will need to determine just how convenient you want it to be. So if you are someone who wants to be involved in every process of making your own great cups of coffee, then the manual espresso coffee machine is the ideal choice for you.

However if you are someone who just wants to sit back and relax before they start drinking a great cup of coffee then the semi or super automatic espresso coffee machines may be your preferred choice. Also you will need to take into consideration the cost, unfortunately both the semi and super automatic machines can be quite expensive, plus they are quite large as well so may take up more space than you have available.

A great way of learning more about these various types of espresso coffee machines is by going online. There are lots of sites that can offer you reviews as well as offering great discounts on some of the more well known brands available today.

Content Building To Enhance Your Site Traffic

The trend of SEO has changed recently. Many of the sites have realized that search engines crave for good and original content The age old method of site linking has taken a back seat.

Quality content has become the latest mantra for increasing the page rank by many web sites. Its not like web sites have stopped link exchange but they have started giving more preference to content building.

In the beginning the process of content building will be like a confused maze with no head or tail. However when you start working on them you learn the pro and cons of it. To add to it you can always take help from the internet which has a huge information database..

Content comes in different forms like Articles, Press release, Blogs, E- books, White papers etc.

Blogs:

Blogs has been practiced by many people for quite a few years. However, the idea of using blogs for website/ E-business publicity has taken roots recently.

Blogs stand for web blogs or web logs. They are like maintaining a daily dairy online. This way a blogger (one who writes blogs) invites people to share their ideas on the bloggers thoughts. Your first blog can be an introduction to your companythen you can write blogs about your company products, the clients you are dealing with etc. You can also talk about new upcoming technologies etc.

Post these blogs on your site first and then you can post them on numerous sites which allow free blogging (most of the blogging sites are free). See that you always provide a back link to your site. Blogs has been described in more details in one of our upcoming article on blogs.

White papers:

White papers are specifically used by companies to display their products or services in more details than advertising or brochures can do. They explain their products and services using precise arguments and examples. The term White is derived from white book which is an official publication of the national government. These white papers hence generally are considered to have somewhat same powers.

White papers generally try to solve problems by presenting various solutions to it. Its a great marketing importance as it showcases the companys product specifically to the consumers and its problem solving capacity.

Press release:

Press- Releases are authorized announcements made by the company or organistaions to the media. In these announcements a company annoubces about its new products or services. This is most commonly used in the field of sports, entertainment, politics etc. However it has now taken roots in the virtual world also where companys have their own press-releases to publicize either their new products or services or anything very simple down to earth like change in office address etc.

Go For The Best When It Comes To Bike Lighting

There are several reasons why you must give bike lights your undivided attention. They save your skin by keeping you visible to those whose lights are shining in your eyes or those who are behind you. In terms of look, they add a dash of spice to what may otherwise be a nondescript looking machine. Lastly, if the lights are fancy enough, they hike up your bikes resale value.

You need not worry about the top-end lights available in the market. They are meant for rugged use and have a long life. What you need to ensure is that they give your bike a smart look. Here are five lights that you can consider mounting on your bike:

1. Arlen Ness Ness-Tech Eyeball Billet Headlight: You may know the Nesses more for their skill with a grinder rather than with wire snips. But the company's stylish accessory line up has some eye-popping lighting. The Eyeball Billet Headlight is a chrome-plated 4.5-inch unit that looks like the human eye. It is a single-beam lamp with a 55-watt HZ3 bulb and lens.

2. Baron Custom Accessories Ultimate Light Bar: Baron's line of aftermarket accessories has a series of lighting solutions that is truly tempting. The latest light in their catalogue is the Ultimate Light Bar. You can install it onto your stock front turn signal mount. It has chromed billet-driving lights and indicator lights and comes with mounting hardware and wiring. The mount system lets you adjust the forward light projection angle.

3. Harley-Davidson Genuine Accessories Chrome Auxiliary Lighting Kit: The Auxiliary Lighting Kit is one of the very popular Harley-Davidson Genuine Accessories. It has chrome lamp housings and chrome mounting brackets to match the contour of the triple tree and highlight the headlamp. Youll get the necessary wiring, switch and hardware for installation inside the kit. The bulbs have to be brought separately.

4. Headwinds Super Brite H4 Lamp: Headwinds has a wide range of lights, bulbs, housings and customized lights. The Super Brite Lamp is their latest product and quite eye catching. This light is probably the brightest that you can legally put on your bike. The xenon gas bulb produces 50 percent more light, decreases glare, and has clear glass lens that increase the whiteness and amount of light that hits the road. The light is interchangeable with existing SAE lamps found on Harley-Davidsons and some metric cruisers.

5. Cobra USA Steel Light bars: This is yet another top-of-the-line brand that offers spotlights, light bars and lighting details for almost every bike. The light bars can easily be fastened to the stock triple clamps. Whats more they look great too.

Why My Internet Business Improved When I Got My Own Domain Name

Many people seeking to start internet business often ask themselves, "Why should I get my own domain name when there are plenty of free web hosting services around?" Or they might say, "I have joined an affiliate program, and they provided me a great looking website. What do I need my own domain name for?"

I'm not going to knock free hosting, because that's how I got started in internet marketing. The sites I created with free hosting services made money for me, and many are several years old and still making money for me. However, there are several benefits that I learned about when I got my own domain names.

1. The sites were neater and less distracting. A free hosting service will normally support its operations, at least in part, by putting banners on a site or by having popups, or both. Not only does this detract from the general appearance of the site, but it may cause visitors to your website to leave quickly and it may disguise your internet business in the sea of advertising which surrounds it. When I got my own domain name, all the clutter disappeared and my internet business became the only focus of the site.

2. I was able to improve the visibility of my internet business to the internet surfer when I got my own domain name. This actually improves visibility in more than one way.

First, I was able to pick domain names that reflected the thrust or intent of my internet business. For example, if a surfer is looking for travel agencies in New York City, the URLs newyorkcitytravelagency.xxx or nycitytravel.xxx are more likely to catch the eye than iwouldreallyliketogetyourtravelbusiness.xxx.

Second, many successful internet businesses have used a ploy of catching the surfer's eye with a funny or slightly unusual name that sticks even though it doesn't exactly express the message. Don't believe me? How about PayPal.com, eBay.com, Google.com, or even NoDiet4Me.com?

3. I was able to improve my search engine visibility, ranking, and results when I got my own domain name. Not only was having a domain name that reflected my internet business area of interest valuable insofar as the human surfer's eye was concerned, but it could improve my search engine ranking as well. This is invaluable, because a properly selected domain name can both reflect the interest of the human while better meeting the requirements of the search engine.

Just for an example, if my internet business is selling free web hosting, having the domain webhosting.xxx may be good, but freewebhosting.xxx is going to be even better. If someone is seeking free web hosting, freewebhosting.xxx is probably going to catch their eye because it is exactly what they are looking for. Also, if they search for "free web hosting", there is a chance that if I have done a good job of optimizing my website, the search engine they use will add my domain name into the factors it considers while fulfilling the request and will show my domain name first.

4. I was better able to market affiliate programs when I got my own domain name. When I started out in internet marketing all I knew how to do was join affiliate programs. If you have ever seen the links provided by many of these affiliate programs, you probably were appalled and wondered how anyone could ever use one of THOSE links to attract attention. They are full of question marks and strange codes, and they tend to be excessively long and often don't say anything about the business that is being promoted.

Once I got my own domain names, I was able to redirect visitors to the affiliate site while using a perfectly sensible sounding, and looking, domain name. I was able to put recognizable and rational sounding domain names on business cards, which would have been impossible with the affiliate link. I was also able to design information sites under my own domain name which carried links to the affiliate site.

NOTE: Many affiliate links have other problems than just being ugly or unwieldy. If you have an affiliate link that looks like bobsbarbecue.xxx/?affiliate=joan or bobsbarbecue.xxx/afid=1234, some search engines will only recognize the root domain, that is, bobsbarbecue.xxx, and ignore everything else.

Many affiliate pages don't actually have anything of interest to a search engine, such as titles, Meta tags, or content. This gets into another area, website design and search engine optimization, and that's outside the scope of this article. However, having your own domain, even a free one, can allow you to more effectively promote the affiliate program you have joined.

Finally, most affiliate pages look exactly alike, so you have no way to stand out from the crowd even if the page is fantastically designed and optimized to the max. However, if I get my own domain name, I can either redirect to the affiliate page, but use my own title and meta tags (and even content), or I can create a page of my own which leads visitors to the affiliate page through anchor text and other linking or lead building techniques. (Which are ALSO subjects of interest in their own right).

5. Once I got my own domain name, I was able to begin branding myself and some of my internet business sites and interests. Since I write articles like this all the time which carry links to various internet businesses with which I am involved, I have been able to create a brand name of sorts and have been able to interlink these sites, interests, and articles, thus creating a more visible internet image.

Miniblinds The New! Creative Window Blind Treatment That Will Add The Finishing Touches To Your Window Dcor

Miniblinds the New! Creative window blind treatment that will add the finishing touches to your window dcor

For small window blind areas miniblinds would be your best alternative. They come in a wide variety of materials like vinyl, aluminum, wood and PVC plastic. A few of the micromini blind manufacturers would be Graber, Hunter Douglas and Bali. By using miniblinds you will have the ability to use inexpensive window treatments that will fulfill all your micro-miniblinds needs. Miniblinds are very easy to use and work well with other window coverings and blind treatments, and are available in a vast combination of colors. Having aluminum miniblinds installed properly will give you the efficiency of saving energy and protecting you from UV rays along with giving you good sound absorption. When deciding on your miniblinds there is a few things that you should take into consideration as in how the window blind fits into the appearance of your rooms decor or what level of privacy you would require. You may want no light appearing when the blinds are closed or anyone to see in. You could choose a sheer miniblind, which would give you more light during the day but less privacy during the evening hours. Although aluminum miniblinds can be very affordable and practical you should shop around and stay within your budget means. Overall miniblinds would be your less expensive route which can fulfill all your window treatment needs by combining your window blind along with other window treatments like curtains, cornices, swags, valances you can have a very professional finish applied to your window decor that would enlighten any rooms appeal.

Choosing aluminum miniblinds for your home

You'll find a lot of benefits with aluminum blinds. They are made with an attractive appearance and are very durable and can be utilized in just about any room that you would need. The aluminum miniblinds are constructed and built to have a long life span. These window treatments are available in a large selection of colors so that you can find the perfect window blind that will blend well with your homes interior. Aluminum blinds have a beautiful and unique style addition, which will give new life to any homes decor. Being a long-time basic for the office micro blinds and aluminum blinds are moving more into the homes dcor more than ever before blending beauty and giving value to your design by offering you privacy and light control. The miniblind may also be referred to as a Venetian blind. These window blinds are designed with the curved slats 1 being as a standard choice for blinds which gives its strength and durability. When you are choosing the micro blinds check the resistance to static, as static electricity will attract more dust. If you're deciding on a bold window blind treatment the 1 3/8 inch aluminum blind will give you all the practicality of a miniblinds. The micro-miniblinds have half-inch slats. The new crisp and clean look of window blinds today is what is going to be around for a long time.

Choosing the right color for your miniblinds

Aluminum miniblinds are a savior for people looking for smaller window treatments. Because they are designed on a smaller scale does not mean they're not attractive, compared to the traditional window blind. Miniblinds have evolved so that you can choose just about any color and type of material that you need for your home decor plans. When choosing a color for your window blinds the first thing is that you should know is what kind of light your room is getting from the outside? As the sun moves the light will change within your room changing the look and appearance of your dcor. Even different seasons will give you different light reflections. When the decision for window blinds or shutters is determined best for your room, the first thing to decide is a style and look of the blind. If you have a room that gets its light earlier in the day usually means that you need a warmer color for your blind. If you have a room that benefits from the afternoon or the evening sunset you'll benefit from the reddish light that will come to your windows giving you a warm decorative feeling. If you are looking for some cool light from outside you may choose a brushed aluminum finish that will give a cooling effect on the Windows and the room. Window blind treatments need the same investment and amount of attention as the rest of the furniture in your homes decor to give you balance.

The 6 Gadgets You Need For Your Treo 650 and 700

I love my Treo 650 and my Treo 700. I feel like I'm never away from being connected to my office, and my business. But this access comes at a price, the Treo retails at about $400 right now, and the pay plan is more expensive with most providers because of the additional features. So how do you maximize your usage, and protect this tool? With cool gadgets. Here are my 6 favorite Treo gadgets.

If you cant read your Treo 650 or 700 screen, your not going to be very connected are you? So, grab your self some screen protectors at any hi fi gadget store. These cheap plastic anti-scratch sheets will keep your Treo screen looking crisp and sharp.

You gotta have juice for your Treo 650 or Treo 700, because it doesnt have a hamster wheel inside it. That baby runs on Lithium Ion batteries, and altho they can take "top off" charging, it's a good idea to have a backup on hand. Especially for more than moderate use.

And when charging up your Treo 650 or 700, where can you get your juice? With a combo USB Cable/Car Charger, you've just opened up your mobility options. Charge it up with your car, or at any computer with a USB port, and you just got your self more Treo time.

The Treo 650 and treo 700 allow for SD cards, or Secure Digital Cards. These cards are used for storage, and can go up to 2 gigs, at this articles writing. That's 2 gigs!! You can backup nearly ALL your essential data on your laptop with that sucker. Who needs a thumbdrive?

Ever dropped your Treo 650 or tre0 700? Imagine all the things that could pop or snap inside of there. Ugh. There are many treo cases that combine style and sturdiness to make your Treo "nigh invulnerable". If you spend $400 for this technological marvel, another 30 to protect it from going to the scrap heap is some cha-ching well spent.

Because the Treo 650 and 700 screens are so big, and face your ear when you talk on it, you can get lots of smudges on it, making your screen as blurry as your vision after your 6th martini at happy hour. Some people fight this by trying to hold thier treo ever so slightly away from thier head, but eventually, on long conversations, shoulder fatigue sets in. So don't fight it anymore, get yourself a bluetooth headset. Yes, some headsets look like they were was designed at a Trekkie convention, but practically speaking, you can't beat it. If you get any wierd looks while talking, just make the sign and say "Live long and prosper".

The Lord of the Rings: Finding Middle Earth in New Zealand

The Lord of the Rings story has captured the imagination of millions of people around the world. New Zealand has been lucky enough to be involved in this global phenomena thanks to Peter Jacksons critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The wide-open spaces, diverse landscapes and spectacular scenery of New Zealand were the best place to film the movies, allowing New Zealanders to showcase their country and create a growing Lord of the Rings tourism industry.

The Lord of the Rings back-story

When J.R.R. Tolkien wrote the original Lord of the Rings novels between 1937 and 1949, he would have had no idea of the huge impact they would have on future generations throughout the world. The stories have had a massive influence on pop culture and you come across many Lord of the Rings references in songs, movies and other literature.

Tolkien had earlier written a book called The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings novels followed as sequels and continued the epic fantasy theme and have since been reprinted into over 30 languages, making it one of the most popular franchises of the 20th century.

The Lord of the Rings story is based around human like creatures such as Elves, Hobbits, Wizards, Dwarves, Orcs and Men. They live in a sprawling world named Middle Earth, home to mysterious beings, magical rings, the devious Gollum, huge battles, the dark realm of Mordor and much, much more.

Part of the success of the Lord of the Rings can be put down to its complexity and Tolkiens endless work in developing a credible and highly detailed back-story. This back-story is brilliantly revealed as the story progresses, filling in important details and creating a living and breathing world with a rich history in the minds of readers.

Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings movie trilogy

After several acclaimed but moderately successful feature films, New Zealand's Peter Jackson diverted his attention to a new project, one that would consume many years of his life and eventually turn him into a star and one of Hollywood's most sought after directors.

Jackson always had a desire to make an updated film of the Lord of the Rings and often wondered why it hadn't been done earlier. After years of negotiating and revised scripts, Jackson and New Line Cinemas finally agreed to film and release the Lord of the Rings is a trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of The King. Filmed entirely in New Zealand, the films proved to be financial gold mine for both parties with the combined profits of the movies, video games and related merchandise easily heading in to the billions of dollars.

The movies were released to much critical acclaim and while some purists felt that Jackson deviated too far from the book, most agreed that it was both faithful to the book and a spectacular motion picture. The three movies combined for 17 Academy Awards with The Return of the King being the most successful, earning 11 of these, including Best Picture and Best Director for Peter Jackson.

The movies created a huge windfall for New Zealand in terms of publicity, tourism, the movie making industry and the creation of Weta Workshops as a leading special effects design studio. Wellington was even chosen as the destination for the premiere of the final chapter of the trilogy, The Return of the King.

Finding Middle Earth in New Zealand

With the Lord of the Rings thrusting New Zealand's spectacular scenery in to the limelight, it was inevitable that a demand to see it up close and personal would be created. Labelling itself as "Middle Earth", New Zealand's tourism industry gained a much-appreciated boost thanks to thousands of travellers taking part in tours and scenic trips. Immersing themselves in various film locations, ardent Lord of the Rings fans and casual travellers alike could enjoy the wide open spaces of New Zealand knowing that these were where the movies plot twists, dramatic scenes and great battles took place.

Filming took place throughout the country, with areas surrounding Wellington, the lower North Island and Christchurch receiving the most attention. The Canterbury Plains, Southern Alps and Mt Potts high country station serve as particularly beautiful and inspiring areas to see various Lord of the Rings film locations such as Edoras, Helms Deep and the Misty Mountains. All are accessible with tour groups and you'll have the opportunity to meet new friends with similar interests along the way.

J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings story has affected the lives of millions of individuals around the world and none more so than here in New Zealand. His epic tale of courage and honour has not only inspired readers but also helped Peter Jackson create his own masterpiece, opening up a whole new generation to Tolkien's wonderful story. New Zealand's film industry has been taken to a new level with the burgeoning local industry talent allowing other blockbuster films such as the Chronicles of Narnia and King Kong to also be filmed in the country. The benefits spread further into tourism and related areas with many overseas visitors coming to experience New Zealand's special link with the Lord of the Rings.

Bachelor Parties and Sporting Events

I recently attended a bachelor party (isnt it a weird feeling to realize all your friends are getting married?) that was hands down the best Id ever been to. Though I wasnt involved in the planning stages, I have to give a tip o the hat to those who were. While most bachelor parties generally feature drinking, barhopping, clubbing, drinking, and strippers, the main event for this excursion was the Heat game vs. the Nets in early November.

Naturally, there was a good amount of bar hopping before and after the game but thats what made the party so effective. Even though the focus of the night was clearly on the basketball game, there were enough stops at bars and restaurants to make it seem like we did more than just go to a game (after all, whats a bachelor party without a little debauchery?). We started with an early dinner at Scorch Grill House and Wine Bar in North Miami Beach its always a good idea to start with the fanciest place first. After some great steaks and wine, we took a short jaunt in a limousine (from Mirage limo, naturally) to American Airlines Arena. Basketball is a great game, and even though the Heat didnt look that great in the preseason, we hoped theyd be able to put it together and repeat in 2007. We were pretty jolly by the time the game started, and had a great time (in spite of and especially considering) the outcome. After the game, the night barreled ahead into the bars of Miami.

The next time you have a bachelor party (hopefully you alone haven't had too many), consider placing a sporting event at the center of it (as long as the man of the hour is a sports fan, anyway). It makes for a great time, and is a nice change-up from regular bachelor party fare.

Limit Your Company's Liability - Start a Vehicle Accident Prevention Program

Motor vehicle crashes cost US employers over $60 billion annually in medical costs, legal expenditure, property damage, and lost productivity. While costs by state and Industry vary, on-the-job crash injuries (fatal and non-fatal) amount to about 6.5 percent of all crash injuries. As a result, the cost of workers compensation, Social Security benefits, health and disability insurance continues to rise. An investment in a comprehensive motor vehicle accident prevention program can be a winning approach to reducing these expenses and an effective tool for helping limit your company's liability exposure.

Consider the Savings

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administrations report entitled The Economic Burden of Traffic Crashes on Employers (request a free copy of the 35-page report on the author's web site: http://www.MobileAwareness.com), the average crash costs an employer $16,500. An employee that has an on-the-job crash resulting in an injury, costs their employer $74,000. In the case of a fatality, costs often go beyond $500,000. Additionally, off-the-job crashes not only affect individual employees, they are costly to the company as well. The aforementioned NHTSA report had this to say about potential financial benefits, Traffic safety programs are an alternative to reduce health care expenses to employers without reducing the benefits offered to employees. Protecting employees from motor vehicle crash injury can be a profitable investment of time and resources.

Companies that utilize a crash avoidance program often realize immediate benefits due to the positive return-on-investment (ROI) from a well-designed safety agenda. Consider the findings of Liberty Mutual Insurance Companys report entitled Executive Survey of Workplace Safety. In their study, they found approximately 61 percent of questioned business executives think their companies receive an ROI of $3.00 or more for every $1.00 spent on improving worker safety.

Protecting Valuable Assets

Most well informed employers understand their employees are critical to the success of their business. Showing a commitment to protecting the safety and welfare of valuable workers can go a long way to help improve employee work satisfaction and retention. If your company happens to be a professional transportation or delivery business, the benefit can be even greater. With the extreme shortage of qualified truck drivers, focusing on employee wellbeing can aid in the reduction of a major cost and time encumbrancetruck driver turnover.

The costs associated with hiring and training new drivers is much better spent on furthering the safety and wellness of our employees, noted Mark W. Kadlec, VP of Human Resources & Safety at Distribution Technologies, Inc. (www.disttech.com). Headquartered in Newbury, Ohio this bulk transport company is an example of a professional carrier benefiting from a highly focused vehicle safety regimen. Consistently recognized by the National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC) for operating one of the country's safest fleets, DistTech has received the prestigious NTTC Outstanding Performance Trophy six times. Kadlec furthers, Documenting procedures, on-going safety training and the use of advanced technology allowed DistTech to improve its safety record for 15 consecutive years. Investing in state of the art driver fatigue monitors and video camera systems to alert our drivers of a potential collision, are just two examples of how we protect our employees, our assets and our customers.

Establishing an Accident Prevention Program

Depending on the size and scope of your organization, there are several things to think about in order to best accomplish your safety objectives. Obviously, for any program to be a success, it has to be committed to, and supported by company management. Once the commitment is made, consider the following measures as a part of your complete risk reduction plan:

1) Setting Goals, Documenting Procedures

Consider appointing a program manager with the task of overseeing the safety initiatives, including vehicle add-on product evaluation and written company policies specific to vehicle safety. Documenting the goals, as well as the results, should be an integral part of the program. To maximize results, share pertinent information with the employees that drive either a company owned or personal vehicle used for company-related work. You may wish to instigate both an incentive and a disciplinary action program to raise the awareness of everyone involved. Once you begin to realize measurable improvements, consider rewarding individuals for their personal commitment to improving the companys safety.

For those organizations that do not participate in any formal regulatory compliance, consider drafting key documents of your own, such as a written driver agreement, a vehicle inspection and maintenance handbook, along with an accident reporting and investigation procedure. Utilizing this documented information can help minimize further liability; be sure to amend your company policy as necessary to help eliminate reoccurring incidents.

2) Employing Aftermarket Safety Technology

Currently there are several aftermarket products available to aid drivers in the safe operation of their vehicles, many of which are cost-effective and easy to install on most trucks, vans, SUVs and cars. While it is beyond the scope of this article to address the broad array of safety solutions available today, you might consider learning more about the following:

a) Sensor Based Obstacle Detection: Backing-up sensors utilizing Doppler radar technology are extremely reliable and impervious to the affects of whether. While these devices can be more costly than the parking aid sonar-based products, they are far superior in performance for safety applications.

b) Camera Based Video Systems: Today's camera technology is extremely effective in giving visibility to blind spots that are often impossible for the driver to see. A common application is to monitor the rear of the vehicle via a color LCD display, helping to prevent reverse backing accidents.

c) Lane Departure Warning (LDW): Often camera based, these devices are most effective when used on highways and long distance driving. If the driver becomes distracted or fatigued, a warning goes off if they begin to drift into another lane.

3) Safety Education & Training

Launching your program with an initial training is an effective way to get a running start. Take the opportunity to impart your company's safety goals, employee expectations and reasons why everyone can benefit through active participation. Employee drivers should receive ongoing training; also consider offering access to an internet based driver-training course. In addition, think about adding vehicle safety content to your company newsletter, furthering education and continuously reminding employees that safety is not a part time job.

Understanding the financial burden associated with motor vehicle crashes makes for a compelling case to take action to reduce the impact. It is a known fact that many traffic crashes are avoidable; investing in a company wide motor vehicle safety program can help save lives and reduce costs, ultimately providing benefits that are hard to ignore.

3 Ways To Care For Your Furniture

Its always nice to buy a wonderful piece of furniture and to see it taking pride of place in your home, but if you dont look after it well, then you could find that it no longer looks as great as it once did. Most good furniture is made from solid wood, and there are several ways you can make sure that your furniture is as beautiful in 20 years time as it was when you bought it.

1. Environment

Although some woods, such as teak, are very durable and are not affected by changes in temperature, most indoor furniture can be damaged by over-exposure to certain elements. Ideally, you shouldnt place your furniture next to radiators, open fires or other sources of extreme heat. Whilst the water content of the wood adjusts over time to small changes in humidity, it will suffer if subjected to sudden heat. Also try to keep your good furniture away from direct sunlight, which can damage the colour of the wood. You dont need to keep moving your furniture just draw the curtains or blinds when the sun is strong.

2. Polishing

Most solid wood furnishings dont need constant polishing. You will probably receive details about caring for your furniture when you buy it and it is always advisable to follow this guide when it comes to cleaning. As long as your furniture is not urethane-finished, you can also wax it, although you dont need to do this more than once or twice a year. For dining tables, or surfaces where you may be placing hot items, make sure you are using heat resistant mats. You can get thick mats custom-made to fit your table, which protects the surface from daily dirt and environmental damage as well as providing heat protection.

3. Spills and stains

Water from flower vases, a glass of wine knocked over at dinner, scratches from the cat all these hazards and more are found in our everyday use of furniture. Always use mats when you are putting anything down on the surface and wipe up spills as soon as possible, referring to your care instructions for removing water rings or wood stains.

How to Increase Your Business by 20% Without Spending a Dime on Marketing or Advertising!

The answer might surprise you - Develop a pro-active "human proof" referral system and use it all the time! Its that simple.

When I ask most people "how have they grown your business most successfully" they often tell me, its by word of mouth and referrals. Yet when I them what system (or methodology they use) to obtain referrals they dont have one. Its a random process at best.

Statistics show that today, it takes six more times the effort and money to get a new client to buy from you as it takes to get a second order from an existing customer or a referral. So why doesnt everybody ask for referrals from everybody they sell?

The reason is because there are emotions involved most people don't feel comfortable "asking" for referrals. Heres a rule - If you don't ask for a referral, you wont get many. Do you ask for a referral something like this: Do you know of anyone that might like our services? and your answer you get is almost always no not at this time, but if I do, I will be sure to tell them about you.

We've found that when you put an automated system in place that asks for a referral every time to everybody that buys, your referrals go up and so do your sales. You can usually expect to obtain at least one new referred customer from every five new customers asked. Thats a 20% increase in business without spending a dime on marketing or advertising.

So what should you say to get a referral? Heres the key - People think in pictures so you need to ask for a referral so it paints a picture in their mind of who they can refer. Ask them Do you have any clients that might like to take advantage of the savings and or quality service you just received? If you could take a moment and scan through your rolodex and see if anyone comes to mind that you could refer, and put their contact information on this form.

Also you should have a series of 3 5 steps mapped out that lead up to asking for the referral. It should look something like this.

1) First send a thank you letter or email.

2) Then follow up with a quick phone call.

3) Next follow up with another email to ensure everything went well after you delivered the product or solution.

4) Finally, send a letter or email with a script saying: Dear (customer), based on our previous communications, you are happy with the produce, service and follow up. I would like to ask a favor. Would you be kind enough to refer up to 3 people that you think might be interested in receiving the same quality and savings that you have experienced? Check your rolodex or any clients you have dealt with in the last 30 days and put them on the form I have provided. Ive attached a simple form. Again, thanks for being our customer and putting your trust in us.

Step 5 Put a note on your calendar to call them in 4-5 day and ask for the referrals if you didnt receive them.

Then put it into an automated process so every new customer was asked for a referral every time they purchased from youWithout Fail! You need to ask every new customer because:

They just made the decision to choose you instead of the competition!
People want to tell other people about their good decisions!
You are top of mind and have just provided them with a valued solution!
You have not had a chance to mess it up yet!

By automating the process of politely asking for referrals at your customer satisfaction stage of relationship you will obtain at least one new customer via referral for every four customers asked. It's like buying five customers and getting one free!

Avoiding Adoption Scam Artists

As with anything where a person or persons hearts and feelings are involved there are quick buck artists out to make a quick buck by pulling on the heartstrings of those who wish to adopt an infant or put an infant up for adoption. It is unfortunate, but true and all too often people involved in the adoption process wind up losing thousands of dollars and having their hearts broken.

The most common tell of an adoption scam artist is they immediately ask for money. They are looking for the money even before setting up a face-to-face meeting with potential adoptive parents. Avoid this at all costs, insist on meeting in person to discuss the generalities of the adoption offer and inform whomever you have made contact with that there will be no money exchanging hands prior to this meeting.

Perhaps the most powerful scam is that of the scammer posing as the birth mother in a dire situation. They will often ask for money to pay lawyers fees to get the adoption process moving. In this case, simply ask for the name of the attorney and contact information. With this data in hand, make contact with the attorney yourself and ascertain if the request is on the up and up. Adoptive parents have the advantage in this instance, as they are not required to obtain legal assistance for the birth mother of an infant up for adoption. In addition, if proven to be on the up and up, the retainer fee should be sent directly to the attorney.

To avoid a majority of the birth mother type scams it is imperative that probable adoptive parents obtain an actual physical address and live telephone number where the birth mother can be reached at any given time. Never send money, airline tickets, bus tickets or airplane tickets. Money can be spent, most often untraced, and tickets of any variety can easily be taken in for a refund.

Before making a majority of agreements with the birth mother of the infant up for adoption be sure to obtain undeniable proof of pregnancy. Have these and any other documents scrutinized by professionals, even insist that the inspecting professional get into contact with the author of the document. Further regards to documents are the timely manner in which they arrive after being requested. If the mailing of them is continually delayed, or excuses are made when the items havent arrived then it is probably time to scrutinize the situation with a little more vigor.

Another tactic is the use of friends. An adoption scammer will pose as somebody acting on behalf of a pregnant friend who would like to put her baby up for adoption and make contact with as many people looking to adopt as possible. To avoid this scam, immediately inquire about contact with the actual birth mother. If this request is denied from the onset, avoid it at all costs. If contact is indeed granted, take measures to ensure that the birth mother and the friend are not the same person. Be aware of similarities such as the same phone number, address, IP address if on the Internet and any other things that may seem certifying the potentiality of a scam.

In the beginning stages of adopting, adoptive parents must be extremely aware of the potential of getting scammed. It is often hard to not get emotional at a time like this, however, being cautious and maintaining composure can prevent future heartbreak and lead to a happy ending.

Setting Up a Solid Medical Malpractice Claim

People usually look up to doctors and nurses because of the reputation they cultivated of alleviating the pain and suffering of their patients. Doctors and nurses are guided by medical procedures developed by international experts and specialists. They are own competence develop through experience as they mature in their profession.

Alas, these medical practitioners are but human, imperfect and erring. Given the tremendous trust people give them, however, once something goes wrong in their execution of medical procedures and their patient suffers from it, it opens a controversial issue of medical malpractice.

Many people fall to the wrong impression that to sue a certain doctor with medical malpractice charges is quite easy. In fact, medical malpractice cases are extremely tough to win.

Not all medical injuries can be considered as medical malpractice, thus medical malpractice claims is not applicable for such cases.

Moreover, it also does not provide basis for a medical malpractice lawsuit claim. In proving malpractice or establishing the liability of a health care provider, expert medical malpractice testimony is needed. This testimonys basic content is that the health care provider a person is suing has committed a grievous wrong no reasonable health care provider would do, and resulted to injury and death. Once liability is established, the victim or his/her family claims for medical malpractice damages.

Another thing that makes this kind of claim a tough case is that there is a statute of limitations or statutory period in filing the lawsuit by a malpractice lawyer. Each state has its own established medical malpractice law for such cases.

The three main issues in determining if a case of medical malpractice is worth pursuing are liability, damages and responsible person to pay such damages. In determining if a health care provider is liable or legally responsible for the injuries sustained by the patient, negligence must be established.

To determine this, the accepted standard of care on a certain area must be known and whether or not the standard was followed. If it turned out that the standard of care was not followed, the next step is to determine if the cause of injury is because of such non-compliance to standards.

Meanwhile, in determining negligence, a health care provider may misdiagnose an illness or injury, fail to treat it properly, give the wrong medication and fail to give thorough explanation to a patient about the risk of a certain procedure or other alternative treatments to avail of. Furthermore, there must be concrete evidence that a doctors negligence was indeed the cause of injury or worsening of condition.

Once liability is established, the patient victim is entitled to claim for damages. This may be in the form of compensation for the medical bills already incurred and still to be paid, the loss of present and / or future income and the physical and psychological pain and suffering felt by the victim.

In a medical malpractice claim, the damages vary on each individual case. It usually depends on how the injury or death caused by malpractice affected the persons earning potential and quality of life.

There is also a statute of limitations or a deadline in filing a claim, which is typically two years. It is important to note this down since once a claim did not meet the statute of limitations, the claimant loses his or her right to damages, even if liability can be proven.

Before launching medical malpractice claims, make sure that there is a fighting chance in winning the case. These kinds of claims are usually settled less often compared to other cases. One also invest more time and expense.

The Value Of Proper Database Management For Your Organization

Data base management is a powerful resource tool for storage, retrieval, and evaluation of your business data, which permits large scale analysis of data for research purposes. Data base management is an often neglected aspect of many research programs, despite the fact that data constitutes a major foundation of the study. Database management provides the control over particular pieces of data that result in creating a detailed report for the end user, by manipulation the stored data to the requirements. Database management can be a complex process that can make or break a major companys marketing campaign. Database management isnt a one-time proposition it needs regular updates, through monitoring and optimization.

Data processing is by far accounts for the greatest proportion of actual computer usage at most organizations. As companies become more complex and needs higher demands, data processing software will continue to evolve and advance. Data archives, a major component of many long term monitoring programs, if not at the site, must be readily accessible.

The main value of data base research seems to be in the promotion of the notion of the decision and support systems as an important direction for the data processing and information systems. The decision-support notion was initiated by innovative organizations that were seeking to provide decision makers with readily available access to information. With the advent of distributed computing systems, data centers will not only physically archive data, but they will become the information and management source that will allow analysis in all disciplines to locate the data they need more easily and efficiently. Data bases are useless unless the information is updated on a rational basis, and properly archived. Data archives should include information on survey objective, and sets need to be archived. It is important that surveys and data analysis anticipate and respond to the expressed information needs, and that information is recorded in an adequate data storage system.

Database management is all about managing the data that youve spent the time, energy and money to generate. Database management is forecasted to be one of the fastest growing jobs through the year 2012. A database is only as effective as the last time the information was checked and updated; therefore good database management is a must. Database Management is one of the most vital parts of any organization. When looking to attain more business, a proper database management would be a boon to your business.

Choose An Outdoor Barbecue Grill

Outdoor barbecues are popular all around the world. They are enjoyed for the camaraderie as well as delicious eating. Barbecues can be informal family get togethers or tough culinary competitions.

There is one thing they all have in common though, and that is the need for an outdoor barbecue grill.

The outdoor barbecue grill has a cooking surface that is composed of metal bars. The bars are mounted above the fuel source which puts out intense heat with temperatures in the 500 degree Fahrenheit range. This intense heat is the distinctive feature of grilling.

Just as there are many types of outdoor barbecues, there are also many types of barbecue grills. The two most commonly used are the gas grill and the charcoal grill. They come in various shapes and sizes with a variety of features.

These types of grills are easy to obtain and can be purchased at most shopping centers. Lets take a look at these two types of outdoor barbecue grills.

Gas Barbecue Grills

Just like the name suggests, the gas barbecue grill uses gas for a power source. This type of grill is typically more expensive than the charcoal grill. Fuel for it is fairly inexpensive and readily available. It is easy to set up and even easier to get it ready for cooking. Just light it and place your meat on.

They dont make much smoke at all but the flames will flare up, therefore care must be taken when choosing a safe location for your grill. The temperature can be easily controlled which is a nice feature and makes cooking easier.

Charcoal Barbecue Grills

Charcoal barbecue grills are the cheapest grills you can buy. You can get a small table top model or a larger one which stands on its own base. They are easy to put together but sometimes are not very stable. The drawback to charcoal grills is that you have to allow heat up time for your charcoal to become ready to cook over.

Sometimes getting the charcoal to catch fire isnt easy either and requires the use of lighter fluid or starter, which ads an element of fire danger. Charcoal barbecue grills are probably not for you if you need to prepare meals in a hurry or need a consistent cooking temperature.

Charcoal grills create smoke and have flames which flare up and should be placed in a safe location and never used indoors. This type of outdoor grill can be messy to clean up after cooking also.

However, charcoal grills are extremely popular and are easy to transport which makes them the logical choice for camping trips and the occasional outdoor barbecue.

The Evolution of the PDA

In the past few years, a great number of businesspeople, professionals, and ordinary consumers have been purchasing Personal Digital Assistants, electronic devices designed to organize and simplify ones life.

The first PDAs, which hit the market in the mid 1990s, were little more than glorified notepads, making it possible to store a record of notes, phone numbers, calendars, and day-to-day appointments on an electronic device. These devices gradually evolved over the years, and Palm Inc.s popular Palm Pilot devices gained a loyal following of both consumers and enterprise-level users.

New features, including 3D games, multimedia applications, and even Wi-Fi internet access have become commonplace on modern day PDAs, making them both practical and entertaining.

As time goes by, however, the functions performed by PDAs are being slowly but surely integrated into the many advanced cellular phones and mobile email devices now on the market.

This has led to a significant decline in demand for standalone Palm Pilots and Pocket PCs, which are increasingly being replaced by smartphones, converged devices which integrate mobile computing with wireless communication.

Most new smartphones serve as fully functional cellular phones, while integrating many of the features of a laptop computer. Each device comes equipped with its own operating system, along with a wide range of software applications specially designed for mobile devices. They are also capable of accessing the internet, usually over a cellular broadband connection, and can be used to check ones email when on the go.

Although the cost is somewhat prohibitive for the majority of consumers, smartphone PDAs have become an institution among enterprise users, and are now a necessity for many mobile businesspeople.

All in all, PDA manufacturers are doing a good job of evolving with new technology, and providing users with an increasingly efficient and functional experience.

What Hypnosis Really Is Behind The Definition?

A mystical force flowing from the hypnotist into the subject he called it animal magnetism , this is according to Franz Mesmer, an Austrian physician ages ago.

This theory caused a lot of questions. Since he believed that hypnosis is like power from the hypnotist, many disagreed. Originally, hypnosis was called Mesmerism named after Franz Mesmer. The word mesmerized: or like being trapped in a short period of drifted thoughts due to awe or admiration was derived from the above-mentioned term.

Psychiatrists characterize hypnosis as a state characterized by extreme suggestibility, relaxation and heightened imagination. It's not really like sleep because the subject is alert the whole time. It is more associated with daydreaming since it is like having your self drowned over drama or a good magazine. Your consciousness is there, but you tune out most of the stimuli around you. The focus you have is very intent on the subject, to the near exclusion of any other thought

We just do not know but the experts point out some everyday circumstances when hypnosis arises like watching movies, driving and reading.

As for Milton Erickson, the premier hypnotism expert of the 20th century, people hypnotize themselves on a daily basis. But most psychiatrists focus on the trance state brought on by intentional relaxation and focusing exercises. This deep hypnosis is often compared to the relaxed mental state between wakefulness and sleep. This makes the belief that there are things we do everyday that are actually self-hypnosis by nature.

Just like in watching movies, if the movie is too emotional, you get carried away even until the time when you get to shed tears.

There is another form of hypnosis called conversation hypnosis. In this case, a hypnotist advice you to do something and you follow it. It is like imagination on a higher level. You know for a fact that it is all imaginary and you just pretend, but there are really benefits.

Funny but true, if one is under hypnosis, he or she is very suggestible. It is like you follow the hypnotist with no usual hesitation or timidity. Hypnosis has evolved through time. And, these days, it is one of the suggested method in mending some health disorders and also personality lapses.

Hypnosis may be very useful as long as you know what to do on the process and you make sure that you have purpose that may not step over others down. Who knows, it if you just take time and do it for your self, you will find a long-lost answer.

How To Maximize Your Profit From Infopreneuring

You might have heard the word of infopreneuring several times. While it is not a mystery, many people still don't understand how infopreneuring works and how they can profit from it.

Assuming that you have indeed got involved in infopreneuring activities, you may guess that the hardest part of infopreneuring is when day and night you struggle write, rewrite, proofread, edit and reedit your writing to make your manuscript perfect.

Unfortunately, the hardest part is not those things mentioned above. The hardest part of infopreneuring activities is to get the manuscript distributed and then read by your intended audience. Obviously, you need a publisher to print and distribute your manuscript to bookstores and other distribution channel.

Unless you can selfpublish your manuscript, there are several things you have to do before you see your manuscript reside on bookstore shelves.

To work with a publisher, youll need to send out query letters and/or a book proposal. This is a letter or a few pages briefly describing your text, why it is unique, characteristics of your target market and how you can help market the book. Most publishers dont accept unsolicited manuscripts, so youll need to convince them to read yours. If they request that you forward your entire manuscript, you have one foot in the door. Be prepared to send more than one query and dont expect a response next week.

There are writer's guides that serve as excellent resources to find publishers who specialize in your particular genre. These guides list the percentage of new authors published as well as the percentage of sales they pay. You may find pay rates ranging from 5-10% of sales. Some pay on wholesale sales and others on the retail amount. Do the math. Perhaps your book will retail for $14.95 and the publisher will pay 6% on retail. This means you will earn 90 cents per book sold. Of course dont forget that the publisher is doing all the printing, distributing, and marketing of your text.

So, how to maximize your profit from infopreneuring if you only get 90 cents per book sold? Simply forget the publishers and publish your manuscript by yourself. You may need some advance cash to print your manuscript into books and do the marketing. But don't worry. You have alternative to monetize your book easily and less expensively. How? Convert your book into ebook and use the internet to distribute and market it.

When you selfpublish your works, you still have to pay upfront and do all the initial publishing works. But it worth it. Especially when you selfpublish through the internet.

Methods and Techniques of Medical Astrology

Medical astrology is the branch of astrology that deals with the possible and actual health and diseases of the client. Usually, people come to the astrologer in times of great life changes, such as

Should I change my job?

When will I come into my inheritance?

Should I marry him/her? etc

To the medical astrologer, however, people come in the progressed stages of the illness, often after some kind of surgery has already taken place, along with a rich history of dealing with doctors. The usual questions for the medical astrologer are:

Should I go for surgery?

Does it have to be a surgery?

When should the surgery take place?

Why don't we have children?

Do I have cancer?

Will my cancer come to pass this year? etc

If the events in the history of illness coincide with certain astrological transits and configurations, we can find the astrological reason for illness, give the prognosis for the course and duration of the illness, and decide upon a therapy needed and so on. The opposite situation often takes place as well: the client comes for the usual astrological session, but the astrologer sees in the horoscope a danger long before the illness has manifested and materialized.

A great deal of expectations is attached to the advice the medical astrologer gives. Will there be a surgery or not, to go for chemotherapy or not, for a radiology therapy or not...

"On Tuesday, I have a radiology therapy appointment, should I go?"

"The doctor recommended taking my bladder away to stop the cancer from spreading, should I do that or not?"

Medical astrology is the cruelest branch of astrology. If you cannot bear meeting with tough, terminal pathologies, if you do not want to take lethal responsibility for the consequences of you advice -- you better don't do it. If you are not a medical doctor by profession, you will have to prepare well and read literature, consult medical doctors, gather information from the Internet, take part in forums, groups, membership sites etc.

The problems of curing are drastically different to what astrologers usually do during the reading. In an ideal world, astrologers advise and clients change their behavior, in order to spend the surplus energy the planets and stars send them. Medical astrologer may be more concrete and suggest wearing certain crystals, colours, aromatherapy, flower remedies and so on. It is best that the professions of medical astrologer and medical doctor do not mix. Ideally, medical astrologer does not cure and the client is not the patient, unless the medical astrologer is medical doctor as well, or eventually, a qualified homeopath. Neither should medical astrologer be a healer: he or she should only give a highly qualified prognosis of malefic influences that have already manifested as a disease and will -- unless nothing is undertaken -- continue to manifest thus, probably with heavier consequences as the time progresses.

Medical astrologer reaches out for all astrological techniques and methods from which something can be deduced about the nature of illness. He or she must be, above all, a competent astrologer, must command a wide array of astrological techniques and use them for the benefit of the client and their health. Since he or she gives advice about healing, but cannot heal on his own, in an ideal world, he or she should be connected to doctors and healers, should know their natal charts and through synastry decide whom the patient should see next. However, for practical reasons, it is best that the client finds his or her own doctors and healers to go after visiting the astrologer, otherwise, in case something goes wrong (and with ill people it always will), the astrologer can be accused of having a deal with the health practitioner that he has sent the client to.

From the chart, it is possible to decide upon the kind of therapy, such as homeopathy, Bach flower remedies, vibropathy, massage, classical medicine, attending spas, aromatherapy, crystal healing, Su Jok, etc.

The Signs

Signs represent the twelve large systems in the body of man, starting with Aries which represents the head, all through the sign of Pisces, ruling the feet. The signs that contain the planets, either by birth or through progressed horoscopes, will stand out, or will most probably be the sources of illness. For each sign a special tissue salt exists; these are the building materials for human body, the substances through the combination of which tissues, organs, systems of organs, and finally the entire body are built. Using these salts on their own or by combining them in material or homeopathic doses, one's health can be much improved.

Quite similarly, for each sign a special type of food is best. Medical astrologer will be qualified to give advice about food, and this will also improve the client's health in numerous ways. Using the theory of doctrines, i.e. finding the similarities between the zodiac, body, and herbs, it is also possible to connect signs with herbs and prescribe them to help the patient.

Degrees of the Horoscope in Medical Astrology

Each sign has 30 degrees, and each of these 360 degrees is connected to one part of the body. The planet on that degree is a predisposition for an illness -- the degree tells us which part of the body is in question, while the planet will show what kind of disease it will be. In a similar manner, it is possible to connect the midpoints and the degrees.

The Planets, Asteroids, and the Uranian Planets in Medical Astrology

The planets are sources of energy in the horoscope, and each is unique. For instance, the energy of Mars is fire-like; he flames up the fires in the body (resulting in high temperature) and cleanses it thus. Neptune stands for bacteria that are known to the medicine, while Pluto is for the unknown bacteria, and so on. The asteroids, the large ones in particular, such as Ceres, Juno and others, behave in a similar way. In medical astrology, the Uranian planets can also be used. There are eight "Uranian" planets which have no astronomical data, but the influence of which can be felt quite strongly in the chart. Some of these planets have strong medical connotations, so using them can increase the credibility of medical astrology analysis up to 90% of success.

The Houses in Medical Astrology

Out of the twelve houses in the usual astrology, five are more significant that the others:

First house -- the physical body,

Sixth house -- diseases,

Eighth house -- support from others, sex, death, karma, terminal states, cancer,

Twelfth house -- isolation, hospitals and monasteries, psychic problems, auto-immunity.

However, every house has its own special meaning in medical astrology:

No. 1 -- face, consciousness, brain tumors, brain insults, etc

No. 2 -- blood, electrolytes, hormones, food intake, hypophysis, diabetes.

No. 3 -- the lungs, speech problems,

No. 4 -- producing food for others, mother, milk; genetics, inheritance,

No. 5 -- heart, infarction of myocardium,

No. 6 -- diseases, personal hygiene, meals, day to day habits,

No. 7 -- death through brain problems, balance of the body, spine,

No. 8 -- Expelling of the processed foods, hypophysis, adrenal cortex, kidneys,

No. 9 -- the upper part of brain, cerebral hemisphere, Jupiter rules over the left, Neptune rules over the right hemisphere;

No. 10 -- metabolism,

No. 11 -- circulation, hemorrhagia,

No. 12 -- autoimmune diseases, thymus, immunity in general, liver.

The ruler of the house is the main indicator of the events related to the house, while the planets in the house are not so important. For instance, to see what kinds of illnesses one can have, take a look at the sixth house and its ruler, its position, aspects and transits. Only after the ruler remained under pressure for a long time, we could be allowed to start predicting the existence of a disease.

Planetary Aspects

How will a planet express its energies primarily depends on its relations with other planets, which boils down to the angle that those two planets make with the centre of the circle. Each pair of planets brings its own kind of sickness, for instance, a combination of Sun and Saturn will slow down the metabolism, while the Sun and Mars make it easy for the person to burn his or her own energy -- such persons often go in for sports.

The angle of 150 degrees (inconjunction) is especially malefic. Whenever there is an exact inconjunction between two planets in the chart, the person will have to live through various troubles of medical nature. Malefic aspects from malefic planets to the Moon are the worst. Squares are extremely malefic, so Saturn squaring the Moon gives a predisposition towards cancer, although the same effect may be seen from malefic aspects from Neptune and/or Pluto to the Moon. Just as in other branches of astrology, malefic aspects produce action -- an illness of a kind. But, it always pays to see where the good aspects are, because they bring amelioration, often a complete cure -- sometimes through remedies, sometimes through persons that resemble the description of the aspect (for instance, a trine to Neptune -- healing through an apothecary etc.)

If there are no benefic aspects to the rulers of the 6th, 8th and/or 12th houses, then we should find persons whose planets create harmonious aspects. If that person is the doctor or a healer, healing will be successful.

Midpoints in Medical Astrology

Each planet is on the middle distance of another two planets, as if in a triple conjunction. For every midpoint there is a special medical delineation: the midpoint of Jupiter and Saturn denotes liver, while MA/SA (the midpoint for Mars and Saturn) denotes spasms, in more involved cases even death. Midpoints make each chart as unique as possible and you cannot do medical astrology well if you are not using them. For even greater precision, include the Uranian planets and their midpoints, especially in progressed charts.

Medical Aphorisms

Medical aphorisms are configurations typical for specific diseases and states. For instance, Mars on 29 Scorpio near the Ascendent will give a predisposition towards bronchitis, as will any squared malefic in Gemini, as will Saturn on the Ascendent in a mutable sign... and there may be more such combinations, for any given illness. The medical astrologer must be very well acquainted with such configurations and should be able to recognize them in the chart. However, the clients won't hold it against you if the middle of the session you look up at the manual -- they won't care if it helps them get cured!

In these modern times, it is possible to have astrology software compute medical configurations in the natal chart. To be more precise, without such a piece of software, it would be very difficult to do medical astrology, because there are hundreds of such configurations.

Diagnosing an Illness Based on the Natal Chart

Every chart contains dozens of potentially problematic configurations. It does not mean that that person must be ill just because such configurations exist in the chart, neither will it mean that the person will have all those illnesses at once, neither will it mean that all possibilities for illnesses in the chart must become reality. Configuration is a predisposition for illness, and it will manifest itself only when at least three predispositions are active at the same time. For instance, a square between the Moon and Saturn is the most frequent natal predisposition for cancer. The second predisposition may then come every seven years, since it takes seven years for the progressed Moon to make another malefic aspect to the natal Saturn. The third factor may come into play through a solar chart, in which there may be, say, an inconjunction between the Moon and Saturn. Or the third factor may come through a slow transit of Saturn, perhaps through its stationary point squaring the natal Moon. If there are four such factors at one and the same period of time, the client will feel as if surrounded by evil and wherever they turn to, the situation looks hopeless to them.

Only when we see such a concentration of approximately identical transits, may we want to warn the client about cancer or some other such grave illness. Since we can compute the transits and solar charts in advance, we can exactly tell the client when his or her troubles will begin, as well as when will they end.

Sometimes, an identical predisposition will appear from different configurations. If there is a square of Uranus to the Ascendent, but that same Ascendent is also squared by Pluto, the combination for surgery will appear twice. Now it only takes a transit of Mars to empower one of those configurations, or for Mars to be on the Uranus/Pluto midpoint in the solar return chart and the surgery seems unavoidable.

Diagnosing an Illness Based on Transits, Progressions, Solar and Synastry Charts

In natal astrology, in 90% of sessions we will need nothing more than the natal chart and the transits -- in one-on-one sessions there simply isn't time to dive into all the charts that can be useful. In medical astrology, however, it is a routine to use many other types of charts. There must be three independent confirmations for illness to appear, regardless in which chart do we see it. Looking for clues in the chart in case of medical astrology often is a detective-like work, until you find the constellation which was active when the symptoms first started. Once you connect real-life events with their possible astrological causes, you can predict how the illness will unfold, and with confidence.

Long transits of malefic planets produce all kinds of health problems, while the progressive horoscope produces the best long-term view of the client's life. In medical astrology, we always use solar charts, because there we see strong accents, which may not endure for long, but which sometimes leave the sequeale for the rest of the client's life.

It also matters whom do you live with. The persons the client lives with and exchanges his or her energy with them. Sometimes they heal just by being present, in other times they make the client only sicker. The country in which the client lives will also have its own horoscope and that can be taken into account too.

Auxiliary Methods in Medical Astrology

Arabian Parts are formed by adding two important points, from which another, the third point, is subtracted. There are about 500 Arabian Parts, and some of them are directly related to health. Pars Fortunae is the most well known Arabian Part, and it combines influences of the Sun, Moon and Ascendent.

Each particular house has its own set of Arabian Parts. For instance, the sixth house has the following two Arabian Parts, which are of interest in medical astrology:

Incurable diseases, bad fortune and vice (Asc + Mars - Saturn),

Curable diseases (Asc + Mars - Mercur),

The sixth house also contains the parts for servants, the prisoners of war, and the pars of the defeated, which have nothing to do with health.

The number of Arabian Parts per house varies: house No. 7 has 16 Arabian Parts, house No. 8 -- 5 Parts and so on.

Quite often, horary astrology will yield loads of info. Instead of natal charts and the charts that are derived from it, in horary astrology we erect the chart for the time of asking the question about the illness. Reading a horary chart is different to the reading of the natal and all other charts, so don't use this technique unless you know what you are doing. Nevertheless, it pays to learn horary astrology, because it often gives a direct glimpse into the real situation, the course of the illness, eventual surgeries and deaths etc.

The decumbiture chart is the chart for the beginning of an illness. We should make it only if we know for certain when the illness begun. Also has rules of its own.

Electional astrology tries to discover when an action should begin. In medical astrology, such charts could be studied to discover when the prescribed therapy should start, when is the time for doctor to visit the patient and so on.

The Role of Medical Astrology in Healing

Modern medicine knows a lot about the state of the patient in the moment of measurement, and knows also, in a statistical manner, whether the prognosis is good or bad. Nevertheless, it never deals with the future of the patient, and is almost always used when something bad has already happened. Medical astrology is the missing link between the recorded state of the patient, his or her current therapy and the future development of the illness. Since it is possible to make the astrological prognosis in advance, it becomes possible to do something in advance as well. Homeopathy and other energy healing systems are a natural continuation of medical astrology, because energy healing "spends" the unwanted but present energy that planets and stars send us via astral body. The biggest advantage of medical astrology is that it enables not only to predict which techniques and remedies can heal now, but when these techniques and remedies should be stopped, and some other healing modality be taken and applied instead.
